Parit Malintang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) RI, Basuki Hadimuljono said the first stone laying of Padang-Pekanbaru toll road will be held on February 8, 2018.

"Today we have reviewed the location of the first stone laying in Nagari (traditional village) Kasang," he said when reviewing the location of the first stone laying of Padang-Pekanbaru toll road in Batang Anai Sub-district, Padang Pariaman District, West Sumatra on Sunday.

He mentioned the plan to lay the first stone was done by the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo which coincides with National Press Day (HPN) celebration in the city of Padang.

But before laying the first stone is done, it needs to ensure the willingness of land owners, customary stakeholders, and guardian nagari to free up land to be passed for the toll.

Once confirmed, he continued, the team from the National Land Agency will measure the land, and proceed with the calculation of profit change by appraisal team.

If the process has been traversed then the central government will reimburse the land so that the land becomes state property and will be managed by PT Hutama Karya.

Besides, for the first phase, the company requested the land to be freed about four kilometers for the first stone to be implemented.

Meanwhile, Vice Governor of West Sumatra, Nasrul Abit asked in the near future landowners, customary leaders, guardian of korong, guardian of nagari, subdistrict head, who are known by the regent to make a statement to release land so that the development process run smoothly.

"The letter of revelation is necessary until the payment of profit from the central government," he added. (cha)
