Padang, (Antaranews Sumbar) - Mayor of Padang, West Sumatra Mahyeldi Ansharullah said the existence of Sharia Financial Services Cooperative (KJKS) can boost the development of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
"Through KJKS funds, the community will be helped to open new business, and MSMEs will develop the cooperative," he said in Padang on Wednesday.
According to him, the presence of KJKS in 104 urban villages is the factor of new entrepreneurs existence, whose number has increased to thousands in the last four years.
In contrast, the emergence of new MSMEs also maintain the existence of KJKS as one of the leading cooperatives in Padang.
For the discipline and adherence to the rules apply, it should be a priority of KJKS members, such as timely payment.
"Another thing that needs to be done by MSMEs is taking advantage of business development opportunities," he said.
He pointed out in the tourism sector today there is a great opportunity of business development, such as an increase in hotel buildings can be used by MSMEs players to enter their products to hotels and inns.
Then with the intense development of tourist infrastructure at this time, it can be exploited by MSMEs in bringing product in the form of souvenir or special food. (cha)
