Padang Aro, (Antaranews Sumbar) - PT Pertamina provides a room or a special place for promoting the Community Economic Zone (KEM) of South Solok at the terminal three of Soekarno Hatta Airport in Jakarta.

"This tool will promote the results of processed KEM of South Solok to be more widely known to the public, including the product of embroidery that the results are not inferior to professional embroideries," Head of Science and Technology Services Forum (FLIPMAS) Eliza Nurdin as the organizer trusted by PT Pertamina stated in Padang Aro, Monday.

He explained that in South Solok itself has stood KEM in Sungai Kapur, South Lubuk Gadang since September 2017.

KEM currently has a turnover between Rp40 million to Rp50 million, and this is the best achievement among other KEM in West Sumatra.

KEM of South Solok itself is engaged in coffee farming, red ginger, and embroidery business.

"The field of business that we accompany starts from the processin to the production which can be sold in the market," he said.

KEM Sumatra which consists of three districts namely Padang Pariaman, Solok and South Solok planned to be inaugurated in South Solok on 31 January.

Regent of South Solok Muzni Zakaria appreciated the presence of FLIPMAS and also PT Pertamina in assisting the economic development of community in the district.

"This assistance is very profitable for us and it is an encouragement for us to do the same," he added. (cha)
