Tangah Island Development To Spend Rp30 Billion: Pariaman Gov't

Pariaman, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The government of Pariaman Municipality, West Sumatra estimates that the development of Tangah Island will cost Rp30 billion.

"The big budget will be used for the construction of bird parks, fresh water baths, children's playgrounds and a number of other supporting facilities," Pariaman Mayor Mukhlis Rahman said in Pariaman on Thursday.

Some of the construction development are still in the stage of construction such as pedestrian road along 800 meters which made of concrete rebates and gazebo or cabin of 15 units that swallow up to Rp1.1 billion.

Specifically the construction of the bird park is a 32-meters-tall cage with a diameter of 72 meters, and will be filled with various types of certain birds to support tourism visits.

In addition, the development of Tangah Island is also supported by central government through Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) of Republic of Indonesia by providing assistance for the construction of Floating Dock worth to Rp1.7 billion.

Therefore, he urged the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD) to prioritize development in Tangah Island.

"TAPD must work more optimally and prioritize the development of facilities and infrastructure that have been included in the main plan to be immediately utilized," he explained.

Development is being done, he said to support and boost the tourism sector and creative economy of Pariaman community.

In addition to the spurring development on Tangah Island, local government in the near future will complete the construction of a pier located on Gandoriah Beach.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Commission I of Pariaman Parliament, Riza Saputra is fully supports the development of Tangah Island which is being done by local government.

It assesses the development of Tangah Island that is focused on the conservation of nature and the environment will be worth more to tourism sector.
