Bukittinggi, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of Bukittinggi Municipality, West Sumatra monitors the circulation and selling price of subsidized Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) to reach its target. Head of Economic Section of Bukittinggi Regional Secretariat, Rismal Hadi in Bukittinggi, on Thursday, said the monitoring was conducted in anticipation of scarcity and sales according to the highest retail price (HET) of three kilograms of LPG by the base of Rp17,000 per tube. In the area there is one official agent and 25 official bases. He explained monitoring is also needed to provide sales tolerance by retailers to be more easily accessible to mmunity because not all urban villages have LPG bases. In that activity, it also socializes to the retailers that the maximum profit that retailers can take is only Rp1,000 to Rp2,000 above the HET. Besides, for citizens who feel harmed when buying subsidized LPG at a price above the HET, he appealed to report it to the police or local government such as through Satpol PP. Head of Trade, Office of Cooperative, SME and Trade of Bukittinggi, Alizar added supervision on the sale of LPG by retailers will be tightened. He also issued an appeal to bases and retailers to sell only three kilograms of gas to eligible residents. (cha) Translator: Vicha Faradika
