Lubuk Sikaping, (Antaranews Sumbar) - National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Pasaman District, West Sumatra targets to produce 315 new young entrepreneurs who will be assisted through the agency during 2018. Local Baznas Chairman, Syafrizal in Lubuk Sikaping, Wednesday, said the entrepreneurs will be given capital assistance, fostered and directed until the business is well developed. These new young entrepreneurs come from each nagari (traditional village), about three to five people per nagari. In Pasaman, there are 62 nagari consisting of 37 defenitive villages and 25 nagari preparations. Every nagari will emerge new entrepreneurs who will encourage the growth of nagari economy. In addition to the providing capital to prospective new entrepreneurs, Baznas also foster in the field of worship and creed of morality. As a condition to be a young entrepreneur, there must be a letter from the mosque administrator that show the person is a local mosque worshipers. "This is one of the efforts to realize the vision and mission of local government to realize a prosperous society, religious and cultured," he said. In addition, Baznas also targets the collection of zakat (alm) as much as Rp6 billion in 2018. Previously Baznas of Pasaman has collected zakat at number of Rp3.3 billion throughout 2017. "The amount is collected from 4,041 mustahiq which mostly consist of ASN," he said. The potential of zakat is mostly derived from the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) while from the outside only two percent. The amount of zakat is not maximally taken from all the ASNs in the regency because their number reaches 4,778 people.
