Situbondo, (Antaranews Sumbar) - A flash flood hit Situbondo District, East Java Province on Sunday evening, damaging a bridge, and killing one person, on Sunday evening.
Flooding affected Bantal village in Asembagus sub-district and Kalirejo village in Sumbermalang sub-district in Situbondo District, Gatot Trikorawan, spokesman of the Situbondo disaster mitigation office, said here, Monday.
The victim, Yakub (40), was farmer who was working in his rice field when he was swept away by the flood.
The inundation also triggered a landslide in Kalirejo village. (*)
