Lubukbasung, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Public Works and Spatial Office of Agam District, West Sumatra, recorded that four provincial and national roads were damaged due to rainfall in the area during 2017.

"The road body is under 15-50 meters length and needs to be repaired as soon as possible because it has consumed the road body," Head of Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency, Yunaldi accompanied by Head of Bina Marga, Hermon Triyoga stated in Lubukbasung, Friday.

He said the four streets are located in Sungai Jariang, Lubukbasung Sub-district with a length about 50 meters, Kelok Lima Sub-district along 50 meters and Palembayan Sub-district at two points with a length of 15 meters and 25 meters.

"The road is damaged by rainfall that hit the area during 2017," he said.

With that condition, it has reported to the Department of Road Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Settlement of West Sumatra.

The team from the Road Infrastructure, Spatial and Settlement Service Office has reviewed the location in December 2017.

Related to the funds needed to repair the road, he added, his side did not know because this is the authority of the province and the center.

"Provinces and centers can build the retaining walls in the form of plaster walls at the site," he added. (cha)
