Painan, (Antaranews Sumbar) - The Government of South Pesisir, West Sumatra is targeting 2018 Regional Revenue (PAD) of Rp125 billion, up 10 percent compared to 2017 of Rp116 billion.

"Despite the rise, we are optimistic that the target will be achieved," Head of South Pesisir Revenue Agency, Dasrianto Putra stated in Painan, Wednesday.

He added that in addition to maximize levies to tax objects, the fulfillment of PAD targets will also be done by exploring other potential taxes.

"Underground water taxes, swiftlet nest business are some examples of tax objects that have not been explored, and in 2018 we will maximize it," he said.

In addition, he said, there are several inns and restaurants that operate, but also have not done tax collection.

It happens because lodging and restaurants do not have permission so it is quite difficult in doing tax collection.

"Later, we will synergize with Licensing Agency for businesses that have the potential to increase the coffers of taxes but have not pocketed so that they can get permission," he said.

In addition, to exceed the PAD target, it will seek no leak by way of emphasizing to the tax collector to make deposits as soon as possible after the collection is done. (cha)
