Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - Government of South Pesisir District, West Sumatra assesses National Press Day (HPN) in 2018 will further popularize the Integrated Marine Tourism Area (KWBT) of Mandeh because thousands of journalists will visit there as the series of activities.

"Currently Mandeh Region is well known both nationally and abroad, coupled with the presence of thousands of journalists will certainly make it more popular," Head of Public Relations and Protocol of South Pesisir, Wendi stated in Painan, Friday.

Bringing plans to visit thousands of journalists, as the host party has established communication with head of the provincial public relations bureau.

"We have also prepared the theme "Come Sail to Mandeh" in welcoming the journalists," he added.

Earlier, West Sumatra Governor Irwan Prayitno stated that there are at least two things that will be "sold" in the implementation of HPN in 2018 respectively of tourism and renewable energy.

According to him on the range of 1-9 February 2018 during the week and the peak of 2018 HPN, thousands of journalists' writing about the beauty of tourism and renewable energy potential of West Sumatra will color thousands of mass media ranging from print, electronic to portal in Indonesia.

Head of Tourism Office of West Sumatra, Oni Yulfian mention Mandeh Tourism Area is currently "booming" and potential sold at HPN 2018. Destination is touted as Raja Ampat from Sumatra, it does offer a fascinating combination of natural attractions and adventure.

Successful implementation of HPN 2018, West Sumatra allocates budget about Rp23 billion with a clear target. In addition to smooth and successful implementation, the effect for the region should also be maximal. (cha)
