Padang Aro, (Antara Sumbar) - A total of 30 inactive cooperatives in South Solok District, West Sumatra threatened to be dissolved and revoked by the ministry because it has not implemented the RAT and business activities.
"Based on the rule, if it has not implemented the Annual Members Meeting (RAT) three consecutive years, it can be revoked by ministry, and in South Solok there are 30 cooperatives that will be dissolved because they are not active anymore," Head of Cooperation, Industry and Trade Agency (Disperindag) and local SMEs, Azizah Mutia stated in Padang Aro, Wednesday.
He explained, initially there are 67 cooperatives that will be dissolved by the ministry. However, a number of cooperatives successfully built local government by coming to the cooperative concerned for a briefing.
Besides, he revealed, there are some inactive cooperatives but can not be dissolved by the ministry because it is still stuck with government funds.
"Nine inactive cooperatives are still linked to government funds, so they are not on the list," he said.
The government is only doing coaching while all the list of dissolution issued by ministry of cooperatives.
"The dissolution of cooperative may change according to the ministry's decision and we only do coaching," he said.
He said during 2017 there are five additional cooperatives in South Solok.
The five cooperatives issued by legal entity by the ministry in 2017 consist of one savings and loan cooperative and four other businesses.
Now the legal cooperatives in South Solok are 106 which 66 are active and 40 are inactive.
"A total of 30 cooperatives to be dissolved by ministries are no longer recorded," he said.
The local government continues to encourage cooperatives to carry out RATs, he added. (cha)
