"Activities that involve the crowd are postponed, not canceled," Head of Tourism, Youth and Sports Erwin Umar stated in Bukittinggi, Friday.
Activities originally intended to enliven anniversary of the city and then directed to the implementation of another time to fill the tourism agenda when conditions are possible.
Several events which are postponed are Bajamba Dinner, night jogging and climbing down the "Bukittinggi Run Night" stage, and musical performances.
"Related to the night race, we look for the implementation schedule at a later time because the preparation has been done as lights and clothes for the race participants," he said.
Previously, preparations for city anniversary have been done and every regional device is responsible to enliven the day.
Scheduled after the peak of day commemoration held in plenary session of DPRD on December 22, 2017, until the end of 2017 in the area enlivened entertainment events.
"As a form of sympathy for the people affected by the disaster, eventually the celebration was not held happily this year, quite simply," he said.
However, in smaller communities such as in sub-districts, simple celebrations are still being held. (cha)
