Batusangkar, (Antara Sumbar) - The visit to Istano Basa Pagaruyuang, West Sumatra, is predicted to peak in the last week of December 2017 to early January 2018.
Head of Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Istano Basa Pagaruyuang, Ridwan in Batusangkar, Thursday said that it is related to the long holiday at the turn of 2017.
"Usually the increase will be seen in the last week that starts with Christmas and New Year holidays," he said.
He mentioned to welcome the long holiday it was not preparing a special service, because the service has been considered sufficient to serve every visitor who came.
According to him, currently Istano Pagaruyuang party has three guides, but all existing officers can also provide the required information, such as the photographer.
"All the officers who are around Istano Pagaruyuang can provide information needed by the visitors," he said.
Furthermore he said, during the year 2017 the Palace has been visited by 340 thousand more visitors, both from within and abroad.
According to him, the visit is still dominated by domestic tourists with the number of more than 316 thousand visitors and foreign tourists as many as 21 thousand more people.
"Based on data from January to November 2017, recorded as many as 316,161 visitors from within and abroad came to visit the Istano Basa Pagaruyuang," he added. (cha)
