Padangpariaman Holds Village Innovation Absorption Funds

Parit Malintang, (Antara Sumbar) - The Government of Padangpariaman District, West Sumatra organizes the Village Innovation Exchange as a forum for exchanging ideas, knowledge and innovations in absorption of village funds in the area.

"Every nagari has its own ideas, knowledge and innovation to develop its village," Assistant of Padangpariaman District Government, Idarussalam stated in Parit Malintang on Wednesday.

However, he continued the idea was only a few that the absorption of village funds was not optimal and affected the central government target for village community welfare.

Therefore, the Village Innovation Exchange is needed so that villages can exchange ideas, knowledge, and innovations so that the development in the lowest government is not monotonous.

He said although in each nagari has a characteristic but in the application of ideas taken can be tailored to the potential of each region.

"Hopefully with this activity will be able to speed up the nagari to be independent and its citizens become prosperous" he said.

Head of Human Empowerment Department of local Human Empowerment and Village, Syafril S said this activity is a program Ministry of Village Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration.

He mentioned only 14 districts and municipalities in West Sumatra who get the program from the ministry, one of them is Padangpariaman.

"The program offers three exchanges that can be developed in the nagari of entrepreneurship, human resources, and infrastructure," he said.

He said after the activities are held at the district level, it will continue to the sub-district level through Village Innovation Implementation Team that has been formed.

"Participants of the bourse are 60 of 103 nagari in the area," he pointed out. (cha)
