Lubukbasung, (Antara Sumbar) - The warehouse belonging to the Public Works and Spatial Office (DPUTR) of Agam District, West Sumatra, afire on Monday at around 06.00 a.m..
Fire Department Head of Fire and Agam Fire Police Unit, Yunaidi, said the result of the incident is all the archives from 1990 to 2014 and labor equipment burned.
"All the archives and laboratory equipment owned by DPUTR of Agam can not be saved," he said.
In addition to the archives, the warehouse owned by the Technical Implementation Unit of the Training Center (UPT BLK) of Capital Investment Office, PTSP and local employment also burned resulting in 28 mattresses and 15 scorched beds.
"Currently we still record the total losses due to the incident," he said.
The fire spread in the warehouse located on Sungai Jariang, Lubukbasung Sub-district, with an area of 8x30 meters was first known by the wife of former DPUPR office's wife on behalf, namely Septia Wahyuni (43).
Seeing the incident, she immediately contacted Satpol PP-Damkar as related institution.
A few minutes after that, three fire engines with 40 Fire Department members arrived at the scene.
"The fire could be extinguished about an hour after the members got to the location," she said.
She added that no casualties were caused by the fire and authorities were investigating the cause of fire. (cha)
