Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - The government of Padang Municipality, West Sumatra, targets Rp60 billion in retribution revenue in 2018, up Rp7.2 billion from Rp52.8 billion this year.

Head of Padang Revenue Agency Adib Alfikri said in Padang on Wednesday that the target is 10 percent of the original revenue target of Padang in 2018 of Rp600 billion.

It was delivered in the workshop of Potential Levy Studies of Padang in collaboration with Center for Financial and Development Studies Faculty of Economics Andalas University.

Based on Law Number 29 Year 2009 regarding Regional Tax and Retribution, it is mentioned that regional levies as payment for certain services or licenses specifically provided and / or provided by local government for personal or agency interest.

Currently, according to him, there are still many objects levy that has not been explored and managed with the maximum.

Inadequate management system, limited facilities and infrastructure, and the limited quantity and quality of human resources, he said, are some of the problems found in efforts to increase local retribution.

Therefore, in order to increase the acceptance of regional retribution, continue to be done with various policies and strategies.

He mentioned one of them by conducting assessment and exploration of the potential of existing retribution so that later impact on increasing retribution area. (cha)
