S Solok Expects Tourist Visit To Increase After TdS

Padang Aro, (Antara Sumbar) - Government of South Solok District, West Sumatra hopes that tourist visit will increase after the event of Tour de Singkarak (TdS).

"The impact we expect from TdS event is an increase in tourist arrivals," South Solok's Deputy Regent Abdul Rahman stated in Padang Aro, Wednesday.

He hopes, fore South Solok will not only be the finish location but also the starting point.

"If it is only a place to finish, the span of time of the riders and officials are just a few in South Solok so that the future it is expected to be a start location," he said.

Through TdS, he said, it will promote South Solok tourism.

Currently, he said, South Solok focuses on infrastructure development and tourism promotion.

"We are pursuing the construction of facilities and the budget is big enough for that," he said.

Deputy chairman of the Regional Parliament of South Solok Ali Sabri Abas said, the tourism development of the District is quite significant now.

He mentioned, currently there is no measure of the progress of South Solok tourism, but it can be seen from the crowded in tourist destinations every weekend. (cha)
