Painan, (Antara Sumbar) - A number of communities receiving Rice Prosperity (Rastra) in Nagari (Traditional Village) Kambang Timur, Lengayang Sub-district, South Pesisir District, West Sumatra are forced to sell their rastra to collect such merchants to fulfill their daily needs.
"Various reasons expressed by the people who sell rastra including because of bad quality of rastra, then they can use the money from the sale to fulfill daily needs," Head of Nagari Kambang Timur, Sondri stated in Painan, Wednesday.
Nevertheless it ensures the activities of buying and selling literature does not involve the nagari device, either the village head or cadre appointed in the distribution.
"That thing I can be accountable because although there are already village heads or cadres who are appointed in the distribution of rastra activities, I still monitor," he said.
He mentioned the practice of buying and selling of literature has been going on since the last few months in the nagari and rampant since this month, but he did not know total number of recipients who are actively selling it.
Related to the phenomenon, the party has several times to remind community to do not sell it.
In the future, his side plans to communicate it to officials related to whether the wrong actions of society or vice versa.
In Kambang Timur there are six villages and a population of about 12 thousand inhabitants, while the allocation of rastra about 6.5 tons per month.
He added that the situation was already known by the local Regent, Hendrajoni and he claimed to have explained the problem. (cha)
