Bukittinggi Spent Rp1.6 Billion For Tds Grand Finish

Bukittinggi, (Antara Sumbar) - The Government of Bukittinggi Municipality, West Sumatra, spent Rp1.6 billion for the successful implementation of Tour de Singkarak (TdS) 2017 as the "grand finish" location.

The local mayor, M Ramlan Nurmatias, in Bukittinggi, on Tuesday, said the cost was derived from local regional budget (APBD).

"The opportunity of the grand finish location gives Bukittinggi more advantages, guests will be here longer and become a means of promoting regional tourism, especially Bukittinggi," he said.

In enlivening TdS 2017, stage nine will be in Bukittinggi or on November 26, 2017. A number of activities have been held since November 24, 2017.

The series of activities are the road charm of tourist attraction followed by local and community devices, race memories followed by ASN and community in general, and cultural arts performances.

Then on the day of the race, entertainment is also served from morning to evening through the appearance of local music groups, clubs or music and dance studio.

Head of the Office of Tourism Youth and Sports, Erwin Umar added, from funds who hold TdS 2017 in Bukittinggi, as much as Rp600 million deposited to the provincial.

"The cost consists of accommodation and fixed costs as the grand finish location, which varies for grand start, start or finish locations," he explained.

Then the rest is used for the needs of preparation of events in the region, publications, preparing souvenirs and others. (cha)
