Padang, (Antara Sumbar) - Weather analyst from Andalas University Padang, West Sumatra, Dr Techn Marzuki said the potential of tropical storms in the South China Sea will affect the province.

"Previously, it is predicted that the heat will continue until November 8, 2017, because high pressure in Indonesia is observed up to that time, but there is a change in conditions in the South China Sea where tropical storms are observed and will affect the western part of Indonesia," he said in Padang on Friday.

Tropical storms are the strong winds followed by rain, thunderstorms and lightning.

Tropical storm this time is not including the category of Hurricance or Typhoon that usually occurs in the North American and North America. Because the storm is moving westward towards mainland China.

"Because of its movement to the Chinese plains, it will give little influence to the pressure patterns in Indonesia, especially the West," he said.

From a few days ago, low pressures have started to appear in the Indian Ocean, Sumatra. It indicates the potential of rain in the area, "he added.

"For West Sumatra rain clouds are seen in Mentawai and surrounding areas," he continued.

This condition may last up to two days ahead, within two days the possibility of storm has reached mainland China and began to disappear. (cha)
