Lubukbasung, (Antara Sumbar) - The government of Agam District, West Sumatra will perform traditional Minangkabau art to entertain Tour de Singkarak (TdS) participants at the VIII stage in Ambun Pagi, Matur Sub-district, Saturday (Nov 25) .

Head of Tourism Office of Youth and Sports of Agam, Jetson in Lubukbasung, Friday, said the art that will be displayed such as silat, tambua tansa and others.

"The art will be delivered by local community at the location of the finishing and the gift presentation," he said.

The traditional art is presented to entertain the participants, officials and guests.

In addition, to introduce traditional Minangkabau art to the participants, because in general they come from abroad.

"With the performance, the participants and invitation will feel entertained later," he said.

He added, Agam is the most widely passed area during TdS held on November 18 to 26, 2017. Of the nine stages, the area will be passed as many as five stages.

Five stages that will pass through Agam consist of the fourth stage of Singkarak Lake Solok District to Payakumbuh through Baso on Tuesday (Nov 21), stage six from Gondaria Beach Pariaman to West Pasaman through Tanjungmutiara, Lubukbasung, Ampeknagari and Palembayan on Thursday (Nov 23).

While the seventh stages from Harau Valley Limapuluh Kota to Padang Panjang through Baso Sub-district, Canduang, Banuhampu, Ampekangkek and Sungaipua on Friday (Nov 24), stage eight from Puncak Anai Padangpariaman, Ambun Pagi Agam District through Tanjungmutiara Sub-district, Lubukbasung, Tanjungraya and Matur on Saturday (Nov 25).

Meanwhile, stage nine from Pasaman Regent Office to Wirabraja Sports Field of Bukittinggi Municipality through Palupuh and Tilatangkamang Sub-districts.

Currently the road conditions in 13 sub-districts which are passed by TdS rider have been repaired. However, the road agency that is the most vulnerable in Kelok Lima has not been repaired by the provincial government due to the cost of repairing are large enough.

"From the results of the route visits conducted by the committee, the condition does not affect because it can still be passed by the vehicle," he said.

Meanwhile, Agam Police Chief AKBP Ferry Suwandi said, it will deploy five personnel in Kelok Lima, so that participants are not disturbed.

"At that location will be installed traffic signs," he added.

In TdS 2017, Agam Police will deploy as many as 200 personnel to secure the route to be traversed.

The 200 personnel will perform security at the intersection, crowded place, Kelok 44 and the location of finish in Ambun Tanai Matur Sub-district. (cha)
