Pariaman is Seeking Agricultural Tools Modernization

Pariaman, (Antara Sumbar) - The Government of Pariaman Municipality, West Sumatra is seeking modernization or renewal of agricultural tools for all farmer groups in the local area such as the use of rice planting machines.

Head of Agriculture Office of Pariaman, Agusriatman in Pariaman, Friday said rice planting machines used will be realized in 2018 while the trials have been conducted by using two units in Mangguang Village, South Pariaman Sub-district.

From the results of the use, it is considered easier for farmers in cultivating crops.

However, by using the tool or rice planting machine, the area of paddy with the same area requires only half a workmanship.

"Quite effective and facilitate the farmers, in addition to save energy and wage costs of workers, the use of the machines can increase grain production," he said.

He explained the way of tool works related to the seeds that are aged on seven to 15 days simply mounted on the rice planting machine, then run and will be embedded automatically.

Implementation of the work is an upgrading of Jajar Legowo rice planting machine which is the result of research and development cooperation as a breakthrough in overcoming the world food crisis.

The advantage of the tools includes plants that can absorb nutrients and receive sunlight evenly.

The machine will be lent to the farmers in need through the group to carry out the planting arranged by the Agricultural Extension Agency (BPP) of each sub-district. (cha)
