Gorontalo, (Antara Sumbar) - Bone Bolango District Head Hamim Pou in Gorontalo Province has called on the local Tourism and Creative Economy Office to take more serious steps to boost the local revenue.
"The tourism sector in Bone Bolango District should be optimized in order to generate optimal local revenue," Pou remarked here on Wednesday (Oct 11).
According to Pou, the Bone Bolango District has abundant tourism attractions for both local and foreign tourists to explore, one of them being the regular sightings of whale sharks in the Botubarani waters.
The frequent presence of whale sharks is a blessing for Bone Bolango, as it attracts many local and foreign tourists to visit the area.
"The Bone Bolango District has developed a community-based tourism management system, so the local community can earn revenue from maritime or whale shark tourism," he added. (*)
