Realization of Agam Agricultural Infrastructure Reached 90 Percent

Lubukbasung, (Antara Sumbar) - Public Works and Spatial Office of Agam District, West Sumatra noted that the realization of infrastructure projects of agriculture sector in the area by spending Rp207 billion has reached 90 percent until September 2017.

"The completed work will spend about Rp180 billion, and Agam is the fastest in completion infrastructure development in Indonesia area," Head of Public Works and Spatial Department of Agam Yunaldi stated in Lubukbasung on Friday (Sept 29).

He explained there is the first handover of jobs now, such as road improvements, irrigation, the provision of drinking water facilities and infrastructure for low income communities.

Meanwhile, the remaining of 10 percent of the work, such as the construction of an agricultural block office building, the sub-district office, the Office of Health, bridges, and others.

He was so optimistic that the development is completed by the end of November 2017 in accordance with the work contract because it has reached 80 to 90 percent.

"We will conduct surveillance at all times in order to completed development in accordance with work contract," he said.

In 2017, he said, Agam District Government allocates Rp207 billion in Regional Budget (APBD) 2017 to build infrastructure in the area.

The fund is used for 34 activities from 14 programs. The 34 activities, namely, the construction of office buildings with funds Rp24.9 billion, road and bridge construction of Rp11.7 billion.

In addition, road improvements and maintenance amounted to Rp102 billion, development and processing of irrigation networks amounting to Rp30 billion.

Next, the provision of drinking water facilities and infrastructure for low-income communities amounted to Rp 4 billion, rural road and bridge construction of Rp14 billion and others.

"In APBD Changes 2017, the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department budget is cut by Rp4 billion due to the reduction of general allocation funds from central government," he said.

He acknowledged that the fund to build infrastructure in 2017 is greater than that, especially Rp159 billion in 2016.

"In the past year, the work went well in accordance with the contract," he said

The Chief of State Attorney of Agam Rudy H. Manurung appealed to all partners to do the work in accordance with the contract and can be accounted to do not caught the legal case.

In this way, he said, people will enjoy the development.
