Pariaman, (Antara Sumbar) - A total of eight villages and sub-districts in Pariaman Municipality, West Sumatra receive Investment Fund Assistance (BDI) "Kota Tanpa Kumuh" (Kotaku) for budget year 2017 as the realization of regional vision as a tourist destination.
"The allocation of BDI from the center through the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing is Rp4 billion so that each village will receive Rp500 million," Pariaman Mayor Mukhlis Rahman stated in Pariaman on Friday (Sept 22).
He said the aid is one effort to fix the village in the coastal area of Pariaman into a tourist village.
"The government will continue to fix the coastal areas so it looks clean, comfortable, and has the appeal to be visited by local, national and international tourists," he said.
He asked the villages and sub-districts of BDI 2017 to be pro-active so that community empowerment can be done well and there is a corresponding account of investment funds provided.
Related to the implementation of the aid, he said, it is expected that the village head and relevant agencies to keep monitoring the development carried out so that it can be useful.
"Do not be in the wrong even target or perfunctory," he said.
The eight villages and sub-districts of BDI 2017 include Naras Village, Lohong Village, Taluak Village, Marunggi Village, Village of Jalan Kereta Api, Ujung Batung Sub-Village, Pasir Sunur Village and Karan Aur Village.
Meanwhile, Head of "Kotaku" Work Unit, Zulherman said the supervisors who have been appointed in the implementation of BDI in the field are asked to guard and supervise the use of investment funds properly.
He explained that the implementation of BDI targets 100 percent of clean water supply, zero percent of slum areas and 100 percent of sanitation is feasible.
"Of course it is expected that the target set by government can be implemented properly," he said. (cha)
