Jakarta, (Antara Sumbar) - Digital-based tax collection application OnlinePajak and Human Resource Development software Sleekr have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on data integration.
This will facilitate companies, including Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), to manage their employees and financial data, as well as complete their tax compliance.
A statement from the Communications Manager of PT Achilles Advanced Systems, Azwin Nugraha, a taxation application developer, received by Antara here, Tuesday, mentioned the integration of the application was supported by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs.
"The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs has welcomed the cooperation between Sleekr and OnlinePajak, because the integration is useful, and it is expected that this system will be well developed in the future to support the cooperative," Soeprapto, Assistant Deputy of Non-Bank Financing and Taxation, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, said.
The integration application uses Application Programming Interface (API) technology, which according to Sleekr's Founder and CEO Suwandi Soh can help users to report their taxes automatically and easily.
Meanwhile, OnlinePajak's Founder and Director Charles Guinot said OnlinePajak aimed to facilitate the taxpayers in fulfilling their obligations, thus increasing Indonesia's tax revenue.
According to him, the integration would enable Sleekr users to import financial transactions and employee data directly to OnlinePajak, and make the calculation, while the tax reports could be done online quickly and accurately.
Executive Director of the Center for Indonesia Taxation Analysis Yustinus Prastowo noted that the integration of MSMEs with tax applications was an absolute necessity for business development.
"The collaboration between Sleekr and OnlinePajak will be a good opportunity for MSMEs to make maximum contribution to the tax revenue. The potential to earn tax revenue from MSMEs is huge, but it is not optimum yet, owing to the limited capacity," he remarked.
Since it was founded three years ago, OnlinePajak is being used by more than hundreds of thousands of taxpayers and is targeting a tax collection of Rp30 trillion (US$2,248 million) this year. (*)
