Pulau Punjung, (Antara Sumbar) - The government of Dharmasraya District, West Sumatra, will present various traditional arts of three ethnics to welcome Tour de Singkarak stage III riders who finish at Sport Center Nagari (traditionla village) Koto Padang.

"The art will be displayed from ethnic of Minang, Batak, Jawa and Sunda," Head of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports Office, Benny Mandala Putra stated in Pulau Punjung, Saturday.

Dances to be performed include crescent dance, manakiak dance, reog ponorogo, randai, dance lumuik babuah cinto, tudung dance, tapanuli art, sunda art, lumping horse, and tasa drum.

According to him, displays of traditional art aims to introduce the existing cultural richness in Dharmasraya District, as well as providing entertainment for participants.

Then, the emergence of various local arts is the embodiment of Dharmasraya is a heterogeneous or inhabited area of society of various tribes, cultures, and religions.

"The diversity will be shown to participants from outside the region," he said.

Stage III of TdS which started at Sijunjung and finish in Dharmasraya.

The riders will start the start at Sijunjung District and finish at the Sport Center with a distance of 161 kilometers. For Dharmasraya rider will cross the distance of 92 kilometers.

The route that will be passed by riders in Dharmasraya, namely Regent Office of Dharmasraya, Simpang Sikabau, Pulau Mainan, Simpang Tugu Sungai Rumbai, and finish at Sport Center Koto Padang. (cha)
