Payakumbuh, (Antara Sumbar) - The government of Payakumbuh, West Sumatra, finalizes preparations ahead of international cycling Tour de Singkarak (TDS) 2017 implementation.
"The preparations for facing TDS 2017 must be finalized and the implementation of this year should be better than before," Deputy Mayor of Payakumbuh Erwin Yunaz stated when contacted from Payakumbuh, Wednesday.
Payakumbuh becomes one of the city in West Sumatra which will be passed as well as the location of finish to stage four at the annual event.
Stage four that fit the schedule was held on November 21, 2017 and it will start from Singkarak Dock Solok District.
According to him, bicycle racing as well as the introduction of West Sumatra tourism potential is warmly welcomed by the city government and all elements of society.
His side through the Department of Tourism Youth and Sports (Disparpora) has held a preparatory meeting in order to finalize the preparation of TdS.
Head of Tourism Office of Youth and Sports of Payakumbuh, Elfriza Zaharman said to enliven the implementation of TdS, it will introduce the tradition of pacific and traditional music.
He said in addition the introducing, it hopes that the spur ducks and traditional music can be the tourist attractions to visit Payakumbuh.
"We hope that the event can promote the region to the world through guests from various regions," he said. (cha)
