Padang Aro, (Antara Sumbar) - Vice Chairman of the Parliament of South Solok, West Sumatra, Armen Syahjohan encourages the local government to create a tourist calendar in attracting tourists visiting the area.

"South Solok has a lot of tourism potentials starting from nature, culture, arts and traditions, it needs to be packed and made one tourism calendar so travelers also glance at South Solok as their destination," he said when contacted from Padang Aro on Friday.

Currently, tourism development is being encouraged by central government in increasing government revenue sources and improving people economy.

This moment can be utilized by South Solok with a role in attracting tourists, both archipelago and overseas.

With tourism calendar, it will be more provide attractions and tourist visits to South Solok and it can be scheduled.

"However, it is necessary to sort out feasible and unique event in becoming a tourism agenda such as `mandabiah kabau nan gadang`. I think it can be packed in the tourism calendar," he said.

In addition, for the view that is displayed in tourism calendar, it is interesting and memorable for tourists, it takes a professional human resources in packaging.

"We certainly do not want while it is promoted, then tourists come in. It turns out that displayed mediocre so that makes tourists reluctant to visit again," he said.

"Moreover, South Solok has the amazing potential of tourist destinations," he added.

The distance between the capital city of Padang and South Solok is far enough, so it needs a specific tourist attraction and worth to be visited.

In addition to require professional human resources, the potential of many attractions in South Solok must be accompanied by the seriousness of local governments in developing it.
