S Solok Government Motivates Entrepreneurship For Youth

Padang Aro, (Antara Sumbar) - The Government of South Solok District, West Sumatra, motivates the youth in the area to do entrepreneurship and open employment independently.

"We want to change the mindset of people in becoming entrepreneurs, especially South Solok will soon become a tourist destination so it opens business opportunities widely," Regent of South Solok, Muzni Zakaria stated while attending entrepreneurship training activities held in hall Sarantau Sasurambi in Padang Aro, Monday.

To motivate young generation and honorary staff, local government invited Royke Sahetapi from Esco Entrepreneurs as a motivator.

The young generations should not just be stuck to become casual laborers, or honors whose salary is very small.

However, the young generation must be independent and open their own business.

"Youth should have the spirit to do business and manage their own business," he said.

Head of Department of Manpower and Transmigration of South Solok, Basrial said the activity was attended by about 300 participants consisting of delegates of each nagari and honorary employees.

"We invited 100 participants from nagari and honorary, but all the freelance personnel also participated so that a total reached number about 300 participants," he added.

Participants of the motivation are 10 delegates of each sub-district along with honorary category. (cha)
