Lubuk Sikaping, (Antara Sumbar) - Recording of population data in Pasaman District, West Sumatra, has reached 80.48 percent or 171,810 of 214,904 mandatory citizens of electronic Identity Card (e-ID) in the area.

"Residents who have not recorded the remaining data are 43,094 people or 19.52 percent," Head of local Population and Civil Registry Office (Disdukcapil) Sukardi told in Lubuk Sikaping, Tuesday (Sept 26).

He explained that Disdukcapil will implement the system of picking up the ball to community by providing mobile car service to sub-district and nagari (traditional village) to reach 43,094 residents who have not done data recording yet.

The mobile administration service is conducted according to the schedule that has been determined so that residents do not bother to come to Disdukcapil office.

"This week we serve Lubuk Sikaping, Bonjol and Simpati sub-districts. Earlier, we have visited other sub-districts on schedule," he said.

According to him, the activity aims to serve merchants and farmers who leave for work before office hours, and return home after office hours, so there is no time to take care of ID cards.

In addition to the mobile program, Disdukcapil also provides services that facilitate community in the processing of residence documents in cooperation with PT Pos Indonesia.

People who want to take care of the residence document can send the file through the nearest PT Pos office. Disdukcapil Pasaman will send a reply of documents to be administered to sender's address.

"Disdukcapil will notify the sender if there is a lack of documents through the reply via PT Pos. This service is very easy for people who are busy with activities and work, they only come once to the post office, then they can wait for the results at home," he explained.

He appealed to the obligatory community of ID cards that have not done data recording in the area to immediately do the recording because population documents are necessary.

Related to the validity of electronic ID card, he explained by Circular Letter of Ministry of Home Affairs Number 470/295 / SJ dated January 26, 2017 electronic Identity Card is valid for life.

"For those who are expired in their ID card, they do not have to worry because they are still valid," he added. (cha)
