Jakarta, (Antara Sumbar) - President Joko Widodo is scheduled to visit the evacuees of Mt Agung in Bali and to hand over aid worth over Rp7.1 billion.

"The aid in various forms of goods from the president is worth more than Rp7.1 billion," Director General of Social Protection and Social Security of the Ministry of Social Affairs Harry Hikmat stated when contacted from Jakarta on Tuesday (Sept 26).

He said the aid comprises five thousand blankets, 18,230 mattresses, 520 thousand masks, 12 thousand kilograms of rice, and other necessities.

It was reported that as many as 59,820 people living around the area affected by the Mount Agung eruption in Bali Province were evacuated to several refuge points in safer areas.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has also provided emergency disaster assistance and prepared personnel from various departments, such as Disaster Preparedness and other social pillars.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has also set up public kitchens at 10 locations in Candi Kuning Temple Bedugul Tabanan, Social Affairs Post of Bangli, Dinsos Post of Denpasar City, Klungkung 2 Post, Klungkung 3 Post, GOR Sueca Pura Gelgel, Bandem Karangasem Command Post, Ulakan Post, Karangasem, and Tembok Buleleng Post.
