Pariaman Offers Investment Opportunities in IFC 2017

Pariaman, (Antara Sumbar) - The Government of Pariaman Municipality, West Sumatera, participated in Indonesian Future City (IFC) and Real Estate Indonesia (REI) Mega Expo 2017 to offer as well as adding various investment opportunities in the area.

"Pariaman fills a stand on this activity since 14 to 24 of September in South Tangerang," Task Force (Plt) Head of Communications and Information Service, Yalvi Endri stated in Pariaman on Monday (Sept 18).

He said the event is a big opportunity for every region in Indonesia to get various potentials to be worked on by investors.

Special for Pariaman, he said, local government offers opportunities for hotel development, tourism development, Small and Medium Enterprises.

Moreover, he said, the city is one of tourist destinations, especially in the area of West Sumatra.

"The vision of Pariaman is to realize the natural tourist destination, the creative economy, the culture and religion. This is certainly an attraction by every investor who wants to invest here," he said.

Especially in the field of culture, he said, government also introduced Tabuik tradition that became one of city's flagship tourism agenda.

"Tabuik Cultural Feast is able to attract thousands of militia from various regions, it should be utilized with opportunities that exist," he said.

While Chairman of the Central Board of REI Corporate Union, Soelaeman Soemawinata said, his organization will encourage future city models to reduce the density in big cities.

"One of the benchmarks of victory of development in Indonesia is the presence of a future city that is advanced and competitive, in line with thing that government proclaimed about future city development," Soelaeman told.

According to Soelaeman, through activities that are expected all parties can provide input for the growth of new centers in order to create equitable development in various regions in Indonesia.

As the newly built city outside Java, there are 10 new cities, Special Economic Zones (KEK), 14 industrial estates and tourist destinations. (cha)
